Welcome Jana as a student worker in Insight Chips!

It's long overdue, but we'd like to welcome Jana Maršálková to the Insight Chips team.

Although Jana works only about 15 hours per week in a student-position while she carries out her studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, she has proved valuable as a member of our team.

What she can do, with very little practice, has surprised us.

For example, check out the image number 2 in the post here, where Jana somehow managed to pack SiO2 particles with a density we've never seen before! We told Jana to get the particles inside the nano channels, and she PACKED them!

Further, Jana helps us with customers' samples. If our customer or collaborator wishes to find out if we can study their sample in our chips, they send it to us, and Jana figures out how the sample must be prepared, and which chip works the best.

Often, as seen in the third image here, an optical microscope can be used to see larger clusters of particles in the channels.

Jana also uses SEM to do this. An example is seen in the last image where the MOF UiO-66 clearly can be seen residing in the nano channels.

So, please help us give Jana a warm, well-deserved, welcome in Insight Chips.
