Ptychography in liquid cell TEM?!

A challenging effort due to the requirements of low scattering of the sample.

Insight Chips' Nano Channel Chip, however, is controlling liquid thickness down to nanometer precision, which makes this possible.

Prof. Philipp Michael Pelz and Dr. Andreas Hutzler from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and Helmholtz-Institut Erlangen-Nürnberg für Erneuerbare Energien in Germany are exploring electron ptychography in liquid cell TEM with Insight Chips' Nano Channel Chips.

Insight Chips sent down a holder from Denmark to Germany for these researchers to try the application.

The feedback is that it was a success, and Ångstrom resolution has been achieved!
