Our objective was to conduct an in situ study of copper nanoparticles in our thin Nano Channel Chips, utilizing the fast detection capabilities of the Dectris detector.
After two days of struggling with the sample, good results were obtained in the last 5 minutes, so our applications engineer Mervan Ramadan had to stay for a bit longer and almost missed his plane back to Denmark.
Thanks to Jan Vavra from Dectris for putting all this together, and to Saltanat Toleukhanova and Petru Albertini from EPFL and Laboratory of Nanochemistry for Energy (LNCE) for staying up late and meeting early to bag some results! 💪
CIME’s electron microscopy facility was very generous to us in providing access to the powerful Spectra200 TEM, supported with great TEM expertise of Emad Oveisi, Ph.D.
