Rigaku and Insight Chips are further exploring our collaboration with 3DED in liquid cell TEM!

On a visit to the Japanese site outside of Tokyo, we spent a day demonstrating how to flow and mix liquids to create crystallizing chemistry inside the Rigaku electron diffractometer, Synergy ED.

We were joined by a team from SPERA PHARMA, Inc. as well.

Thank you to Keisuke Bando, Shoko Nishimura and Keiyo Nakai for coming all the way up to Tokyo from Osaka for the demo!

On a related note, Insight Chips has developed a high-tilt holder for liquid-cell TEM (patent-pending!).

We will be able to mix liquids inside the instrument and tilt +/-60 degrees.
